办学条件

      涉外经济学院原名外语系，始建于2001年9月，于2006年12月更名为人文语言学院，2007年8月与国际贸易专业合并成立涉外经济学院。学院现开设五个专业：国际经济贸易、涉外法律、商务英语、应用日语和涉外文秘，在校学生2000多名。

      我院教师科研成果丰硕，承担了多项省级科研课题，出版专著、教材13部，在国家级核心刊物上发表论文122篇。院长张伯敏教授荣获省高校教学成果二等奖等20多个奖项，何春副教授荣获省厅级论文一等奖多个奖项，郑敏丽老师获得2003年“海南省青年教师十佳” 称号；02级魏玮同学获得世界大学生和平大使中国选拔赛第三名，03级吴鹏举同学在海南省高校英语演讲比赛和枫叶杯演讲比赛中获专业组一奖，04级罗天喜同学荣获2006“CCTV”杯全国英语演讲大赛专业组三等奖，并被评为2006年“海南省优秀大学生”。等等。

     我院的教学宗旨为“培养既有扎实的语言功底，又有实用专业技能的复合型人才”。 我院与全球500强企业大连简柏特公司、美国通用（惠普）上海公司、IBM已签定订单式的人才培养协议书，与海南中江职业证书培训中心等多家职业技资格证书办证机构合作，为学生考取职业技能证书，“双证”毕业，搭建了平台。我院学生均可报考海南省“专升本”，可参加学校和海南大学联办的“专接本”辅导班，可报考日本国士馆大学留学深造，学生有读本科的良好平台。此外，我们建立了模拟法庭实训室、外贸单证系统、外贸实务系统、外贸模拟系统等多个校内实训室，还与海南省档案馆、亚洲博鳌论坛年会组委会、三亚饭店协会、博鳌索菲特大酒店、海南德塞利律师事务所等多家企事业单位建立了校外实训基地，为学生提供了实训实践的机会。所培养的学生语言功底扎实，实践应用能力强，毕业生得到社会用人单位的广泛好评，各专业历届毕业生就业率达到98%.

我院全体师生正以崭新的姿态迎接时代的挑战，励志为海南、为全国社会经济发展培养更多更好的应用型人才。

 

       Institute of International Economics was first established in September, 2001 as the Foreign Languages Department, and was renamed Institute of Humanities and Foreign Languages and Cultures in Dec, 2006; it was then incorporated with the different majors of International Trade and was renamed Institute of International Economics in August, 2007. At present, we offer courses on 5 majors: International Economics and Trade, International Laws, Business English, Practical Japanese, and Secretaries Involving Foreign Affairs. Now we have over 2,000 enrolled students. 

      Our teachers are fruitful in their teaching researches and have participated in different research projects on the provincial level and they have so far published 13 special pieces of works or teaching materials, 122 essays on key journals of the country. Our president professor Zhang Bomin has won over 20 awards including the Second Prize of Good Fruits of Teaching for College Education, Miss He Chun, an associate professor, has won different awards including the First Prize of the Essays Competition of the Province. Miss Zheng Minli won the title of The Top Ten Excellent Teachers of the Province in 2003.

The achievements of our students include the following: Wei Wei, one of our graduates in 2002, won the third prize of Ambassadors of Peace for World College Students, the Chinese Arena; Wu Pengju, a graduate in 2005, won the first prize for the majors, of The English Speech Competition for College Students in Hainan, and the first prize of the Maple Leaf English Speech Competition. Luo Tianxi, a graduate in 2006, won the third prize for the majors of the CCTV Cup English Speech Competition, the Hainan Session; he was awarded the title of An Excellent College Student of Hainan in 2006.

       Our purpose is to train up talents with a firm foundation of foreign languages for applications in actual situations as well as professional knowledge. We have signed agreements with The Genpact Company, one of the Global Top 500s; the Shanghai Branch of the US General (Hewlett-Packard) Company and IBM for special talent reservations, and with different organizations such as Hainan Zhong Jiang Training Center for Professional Credentials, offering the students opportunities for professional qualifications and certificates and the prospect of graduation with double certificates. Our graduates may apply for the provincial College Promotion Test. There are also opportunities for our workshops with Hainan University, and chances to study  for their Bachelor’s Degrees in Kokushikan University of Japan.

Besides, we have mimic courts of law, training rooms for special document lists of Foreign Trade, and affairs of International Commerce. We established a connection with the Hainan Archives, the Organization Committee of Bo’ao Forum for Asia, the Hotel Association of Sanya, Sofitel Hotel of Bo’ao, and some law firms in Hainan for opportunities for our students to be dabbled in practical experience. Our students are proficient in their foreign languages and practical abilities, and enjoy wide social reputations. The job locations of our graduates are 98%.

      Our teachers and students are facing new challenges with a fresh attitude, and striving forward to produce more and better comprehensive talents for the social and economic development of Hainan and the country.
